Getting to Iceland from Dublin
Despite the proximity of Iceland and Ireland, there are no direct flights from Dublin to Reykjavik. If you want to fly between the two countries, you have a few options for cities in which to make the connection.
If you can get to Belfast, you can fly direct to Reykjavik on low-cost carrier, IcelandExpress. The flight takes less than two hours and costs about 60 euros each way. If you’re willing to hop a cheap flight to another city, you have many more options. You can take a three-hour direct flight to Reykjavik from Glasgow, Manchester or London on Icelandair for anywhere from 130-350 euros each way depending on when you go and how far in advance you book. On IcelandExpress, you can go from Edinburgh or London to Reykjavik for about 64 euros each way.

Given it’s position as an island in the Atlantic, you can’t drive to Iceland, but you can take a ferry. The three day journey on the Smyril Line from Denmark to Iceland (via the Faroe Islands) operate all year, except January, February and March. The price starts at 65 euros per person with additional costs for a sleeping cabin on to bring on a car.
